When it comes to affordable Chinese these days, it's either a takeout stand or buffet cafeteria. The character has been thrown out with the MSG. These stark and often generic eateries heap on mass quantities of foods with a lot of inconsistency in quality. Lee Garden, on the other hand, is an old-school standby with personalized attention, good if not excellent fare, and a campy appeal, from vinyl booths and intricate woodcarvings to big, round paper lanterns and deep red walls. Lee Garden looks like the place for a clandestine rendezvous, 'Christmas Story' dinner and 'Godfather' take-out. Actually, it's not a seedy crime boss hangout. Town 'N Country families have frequented the Chinese restaurant for nearly 20 years. The energetic and friendly staff serve up unique specials, like the Singapore Noodle, a rice vermicelli with curry, onion, pepper and egg; free drinks with evening buffet (yes, they have one too with non-Asian items like plantains and Hawaiian chicken); and half-off draft beer specials. Appetizers are very cheap and well-prepared; the portions are huge. --Julie Garisto

I have been eating at this restaurant for a few monts now and the the buffet is always great. The price for the all you can eat luch is only $6 with a great variety of dishes. The jalepeno chicken is my favorite dish. The eggroll, as stated in the first post, is the best in town. No smiles lady: I know what you mean about saving an eggroll in your purse for later. I went to a few other buffet restaurants and wanted to save some of the items for later in my purse and for some reason the managers gave me the third degree. They made me feel like a common thief as well. It says, "All You Can Eat" not "All You Can Eat HERE" does it? Why do some buffet restaurants have take-out boxes or take-out menus when you can eat the buffet and save anything you want in your purse for later. Those idiots!

The food is very good, but the good part stops there. The people working there never smile and treat you like you are invisable at the checkout. Everyone is watched on camera, waiting for someone to slip something off your plate into your purse. I had 1 egg roll left on my plate and rather than throw it out I put it in my purse for later. Big mistake I was immediately approached by a waitress who stated that I was "SEEN ON CAMERA" putting food in my purse and that I would have to pay a take out charge of $3.50 for that 1 egg roll. Mind you the lunch buffet is only $4.99. I was made to feel like a common thief. I had never eaten at a buffet before and did not know the rules. That is one mistake I will never make again, and the other big mistake was going there for lunch. Makes you wonder what they do with the food that you leave on your plate??? I believe the management handled it very badly and lost 2 customers over 1 egg roll. So remember if you choose to eat there, remember you every bit is being monitored by cameras.
